“We made the number by an overwhelming margin. We filed over 36,000 signatures today. That is by far more than any candidate – a Republican candidate for statewide office – in history, more than anybody in history. In fact, that’s 30% higher than the second highest. So, we had overwhelming success driven by a great team and incredible grassroots support. That is despite the fact that the Zeldin campaign made significant efforts to dissuade people from working on anything other than their race.”

In a statement, Wilson announced he had submitted more than 36,000 signatures. “New Yorkers are tired of career politicians and insiders who raise their taxes, drive up the cost of living and make our streets less safe,” Wilson said in a statement. “As we have seen through our record number of petition signatures, voters are hungry for an outsider who can get the job done.”
