Outsider Harry Wilson released the following statement today following the New York Republican Convention.

“It’s going to take an outsider to turn New York around because the career politicians have failed us. As Governor I’ll cut taxes, reduce the cost of living, get tough on crime and end business as usual in Albany. I was happy for the opportunity to share this message with delegates because our Party must be united in the fall in order to save our state.”

Wilson entered the race for Governor a week ago and after another candidate had already secured the commitment of nearly 100 percent of the delegates. Wilson attended the convention for the opportunity to meet and talk with Republican activists from across the state. He plans to collect signature petitions to earn his place in the June primary.
